TESTIMONY:
PAMELA WHITE

I am 19 and from Plymouth. I have been at Gilead for 10 months. I came here because of a drug addiction and because I knew that I could never recover on my own. I wanted to go to a place which was Christian because since my childhood I have always believed in God, but I just stopped following Him.

I am on phase 3 now, so I am able to do things outside of Gilead. I am a member of St John Ambulance, as well as taking the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award. I have also been taking guitar lessons here , and hope to be able to play worship music in my Church.

All the work experience I have gained at Gilead from milking cows to doing administration, has helped me to grow in confidence and work ethic. The family environment has helped me to recover and build better relationships at home. When I finish the program, I am planning to stay on to do an NVQ in Administration, complete the DOE award, and continue to work with St John Ambulance in various public events.
