APPLYING TO 'KEY' PROGRAM

If you would like to apply to the Key rehabilitation program in order to break free from an addiction to drugs, alcohol, gambling, self-harm, an eating disorder, or other related issue, applications are completed by a telephone assessment.

To contact the Gilead applications team or to discuss any queries you may have, call 01837 852 103.

Referrals are accepted from all professional bodies. These include social services, community drug and alcohol teams, probation departments, prisons, recognised counselling services, GPs, local health authorities, etc. We also accept self-referrals from private individuals & interested parties.
We offer our services to both male and female clients between the age of 18 and 60.

Referrals
The referral process can be initiated by telephoning our application department to speak to one of our advisors. Alternatively you can complete the attached referral form and return it to our office.

Processing Pack
The client will be sent a processing pack requesting further information i.e. medical reports, proof of identification, and funding arrangements etc. Our application staff are available for assistance if required. Applications can be completed by telephone at a pre arranged appointment time with a member of the application team on the number above.

Once all the information requested has been received and checked, the application is taken to the Application Authorisation Team (AAT) to obtain authorisation for entry. The AAT is made up of a cross-section of GF staff members who assess the suitability of the course to the applicant, make an assessment of the risk of accepting the applicant and ensure that GF is able to give the required care and support. Places are allocated on a first come first serve basis, so a waiting list is used when beds are not available.

All teams that meet to make decisions regarding new or re-applications treat each application individually and follow all relevant policies and procedures. You have the right to appeal against any decision to reject your application. If this is the case, you should write to the General Manager who will then research the decision and then respond to you in writing.
